What genre of topics should I expect to see in Commentary? |

Unlike Extemp, Commentary does not limit the topic choices to current events both national and global (primarily based on current economic and political climates). Though you can expect to find more “traditional” Extemp topics, you may confront something as broad as “Krispy Kreme Craziness?” or “Hinduism”. In two ways, I think Commentary is more like other events than Extemp. The topic choices are about as undefined and up-in-the-air as Impromptu topics, and the event itself is about as regionally diverse and non-universalized as Public Forum Debate seems to be. That is why many people like this event; there is plenty of room for individual interpretation.
